Long-distance trail running and ultra marathons are my current challenge: steady progress, big landscapes and plenty of time to think. The best days involve a good route, a long climb and nowhere particular to be for a while.

Curious by nature,
practical by habit.
I'm a physics graduate, technical director and web developer at tictoc digital. I enjoy making digital products clearer, more useful and more reliable - and working with good people to get there.
My route into digital started in computer-aided engineering. That engineering mindset still shapes how I work: stay curious, understand the detail and build things that last.
Away from a screen, I'm usually on a trail. Ultra running brings together the quiet focus, big landscapes and good company that make a long day outside worthwhile.

Paragliding
Paragliding became another chapter in a long-standing love of the hills. I learned to fly in the Yorkshire Dales in 1991 and spent many memorable days flying in the mountains of Scotland.
Community
Passing it on.
I previously coached mini rugby at Birkmyre, helping young players build confidence, learn the game and enjoy being part of a team. I'm still a rugby fan, following Scotland and Glasgow Warriors.
